2018 REaDY Summit

We have reached full registration!

Our registration is currently full and we are not accepting anymore Richmond student participants due to our capacity limits. There will be NO drop-ins at the event this year due to space. We are so excited that grade 6/7 classes from local Richmond schools have been invited and will be attending REaDY Summit 2018!

Are you REaDY?

2018 marks the 7th anniversary of the Richmond Earth Day Youth (REaDY) Summit, with the theme “One Earth, One Mind: From Local to Global!” The 2018 REaDY Summit will take place at Cambie Secondary School on April 27, 2018, and includes engaging speakers, interactive workshops and exhibits, and lots of great tips and tricks to make sustainable changes in our community. This year, upper intermediate students and school green team members in Richmond have been invited to participate. We are thrilled to be educating younger students about environmental sustainability! Stay tuned to this website, the REaDY Facebook page www.facebook.com/readysummit , and Twitter @REaDYSummit for more information about REaDY 2018!

Sustainable Richmond

Did you know that Canada is the largest consumer of energy per capita in the world? When we think of Canada, we picture its pristine nature and livable cities. What we don’t see is Canada’s worsening problem of excessive energy consumption. In fact, even with all our resources, Vancouver is currently only ranked as the world’s 18th most environmentally friendly metropolitan area! Take the next step towards a more eco-friendly future for our world and join us at REaDY Summit 2018! Together we’ll start by making Richmond a sustainable city!
